The Artist Way: Week Seven
I unfortunately didn't have a lot of time to complete the any of the more intricate exercises from this week- but it did allow a little "min artist date" as it were. "Give yourself time to listen to one side of an album, just for Joy"- which ended up being The Eagles.
It's 2018, I still have no idea what Hotel California is about. Drugs? Capitalism? Whatever. It's still a fantastic song, in my professional opinion. The eagles have such a good sound, no two songs are similar to one another, and they can go from slow jams like Pretty Maids All In a Row to rock songs like Life In the Fast Lane.
It was less than an hour or so of music, but was so refreshing after a really hectic week. It calmed my brain down a bit.
...And while I was at it I listened to Jesus Christ Superstar for the first time, because we're studying the Gospels in Theology, and NBC's showing it on Easter. That was something of an adventure. I'm glad I did it though.
