On Selfishness
Everyone is selfish at least some of the time. And that's okay! Sometimes being selfish is even necessary for your wellbeing- but everyone can admit that it's bad when it's inconsiderate of other people.
I know I maintain a healthy degree of selfishness, though I have trouble remembering specific instances of it. If I had to pick something selfish that I do frequently that I would change, it would be taking advantage of the short distance between campus and having my family get stuff for me. I'll have to start adjusting to that eventually so why not start now.
Just...start stockpiling groceries, getting food from Hein, maybe taking the plunge and walking to a store every now and then. Paying my mom back when she does get something for me.
It has been something of a drain on my conscience, and I feel like it'll benefit me in the long run.
