Artist Way: Week Five
This week is "Recovering a Sense of Possibility" so all of them were hypothetical in some way but there was one that hit me hardest.
"If I were twenty and had money..."
Oh God.
If I were twenty and had money I would pay off TLU. If I was twenty and had money I would be a volunteer for like 8 charities. If I was twenty and had money I would have my own living space. But the book says to "List five adventures" and I would love that too.
#1 Go to Disney World... without my family.
It's a simple one, but I've wanted to go to Disney World since I was 8 and they showed those documentaries on the Travel Channel. We went on vacation before college but.
Having actual children there ruins everything.
I want to go again just to explore everything and appreciate the art and the childlike wonder on my own (or maybe with friends), not having to defer to other people, without screaming ten year olds and tired adults stepping on your heels.

#2 Go to Universal Studios... without my family
Same reasons as the above. While I'm at it, I'd buy some Ravenclaw robes and a wand- Since I have "money" after all.

#3 Go to New Orleans...without my family
Are you noticing a pattern? To be fair to my brothers, this was more on my christian mother and her hesitation to remain in the occult stores for too long. But I've always been fascinated with the city and Its culture and would like to visit it again in more detail.

#4 Go see a Broadway Show
This one's pretty obvious. I love the Theatre but have no money to love theatre. I don't know what I'd watch, ad honestly it doesn't particularly matter (I'd say Hamilton but this chapter is "Recovering a sense of Possibility") I just want to witness a show where the entire building is structured around the story.

#5 Leave the Country
I've only ever been in the States and I really want to see somewhere else. The question of "where?" is a little up in the air. Rome and Barcelona have been on my list since I was a kid (thanks to the Lizzie Maguire and Cheetah Girls movies respectively) but honestly I'd be happy going anywhere. The world is so wide, It'd be a shame not to see it. After all:
“We travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us.”
